Animal Feeding, Feeding, Care, Disease Controls and Marketing are essential to animal husbandry work.

Before getting started, farmers know about physical facilities. Availability of land, road, electricity and water supply and marketing opportunities should be a clear idea.

There should be a clear understanding of availability, selection, cage, hive building, maintenance rooms and waste management of the best cattle.

Scientific training is essential for animal husbandry units to be profitable. Untrained farms tend to be shut down half-way due to poor productivity, caregiving problems and illnesses.

Today, many NRIs and employers are ready to start farms. Kudumbasree units are also keen to start small units.

These include cow, goat, meat, poultry, duck, quail, pig breeding units, milk and meat processing units, poultry raising units, integrated animal husbandry units and mixed enterprises.

State Animal Husbandry Department, Dairy Development Department, Veterinary University, Dairy Production Units (Milma) and Livestock Development Board are working in the field of animal welfare.

The Animal Husbandry Department conducts several training programs under the Employment Entrepreneurship Development Scheme.

The most important of these are high-tech dairy farming, dairy farming, scientific brewing, milking machines, poultry processing, and poultry processing.

The Animal Husbandry Enterprise Pipeline Development Scheme has also included hatchery management of 25 days and construction of 15 days meat.

Training will be provided from the Animal Husbandry Department, Veterinary University, Milma, Dairy Development Department, Kerala Livestock Development Board, Poultry Development Corporation,

Meat Products of India and Chengannur Central Hatchery. Employees under the Department of Animal Husbandry, Aluva, Thalayolaparambu and Muvatti Training Centers will work for job-based training. Over 4000 people will be trained through the entire project.
